Paper Abstract

A method for measuring the bleeding sap flow velocity (BSFV) in xylem bundle of herbs by means of He-Ne laser probing is developed. The method is applied to the study of the BSFV dependence in conductive bundles on the illumination of the herb and on the value of bioelectric potentials (BEP) between the base and the top of the herb. The practical importance of this investigation in agriculture is shown. 1.
