Limit of resolution for holographic lenses

Paper Abstract

Fourier transfer is used to analyze the limit of resolution for holographic lenses( HL). Detailed studies on the diffraction field distribution on the focal plane open out the cause that the resolution does not follow the rule of inverse ratio with the radius of aperture. The transimmisivity of HL changing with the radius makes its diffraction field experienced apodization effect, pedestal widen, new side lobe grown out processes, so the figure of the diffraction field distribution changes significantly. For this reason, the location of the first minimum as resolution criterion is not suitable.
