Paper Abstract

The purpose and functional capabilities of the Web information-computational system (ISC) 'Atmospheric Spectroscopy' ( are presented. ISC is oriented on operations with databases of the high resolution spectra and designed for both placing at one's disposal the reference information on these spectra and solving traditional problems of the atmospheric optics. The experimental results on absorption by line wings and the possibility to calculate the absorption using different theoretical and empirical line wing shapes are discussed in the case of the CO2 and H2O molecules. The basic concepts of the atmospheric spectroscopy used under the ICS designing are described.
