Paper Abstract

Brief overview of peculiarities of Raman scattering in gyrotropic crystals treated as effects of spatial dispersion is presented. Raman experiment in gyrotropic crystals, elimination of artifacts, spectroscopic manifestation of gyrotropy in phonon Raman spectra, exchange with angular momentum between light and crystal lattice excitation and corresponding selection rules are discussed.
