Paper Abstract

Customer defined problems don't match data mining heuristics. A basic component of the data mining process is the transformation of the business problem into a form that fits one of these basic heuristics. This means changing the problem size or composition, addition variables, and using more than one data mining heuristic. We will also discuss the basics of data mining tool selection. After all, having the right type of tool can make the project easier to accomplish and more successful.
