Paper Abstract

Tri-layer garnet film for wavelength multiplex reproduction was prepared by the laser ablation method using a new 5th- order Nd-YAG laser, and the magneto-optical effect was measured. By changing the composition of each layer in the tri-layer, it is possible to read out signals from each layer without interference using another wavelength. Selective writing to each layer is also possible using the difference in the change in temperature of coercive force.
