Paper Abstract
Vibration tests int he aerospace industry are traditionally performed using accelerometers to measure the response of the structure at selected locations. The scanning laser doppler velocimeter offers an alternative measurement technique. The advantages and disadvantages of the two approaches for a vibration test on a large aerospace structure are compared in this paper.
