Correlation between speed, resolution, and sensitivity of the organic photoconductor liquid crystal system

Paper Abstract

The possibilities to strike a compromise between a speed, a resolution, and a sensitivity of the polyimide - liquid crystal structure have been studied at a pulsed laser irradiation and a pulsed supply voltage. The dependences of a diffraction efficiency both on a delay between the laser and supply voltage pulses and on the write energy density have been investigated. The delay has been compared with a characteristic time of blurring the potential relief created by writing a thin holographic grating. The threshold sensitivity of the polyimide -liquid crystal structure has been estimated. The dynamic characteristics of the structure with both oxide and polymer alignment films have been investigated.
