Paper Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of virtual topologies on top of PVM for developing parallel portable image processing on coarse grained machines. It allows the user to define a high level logical numbering to make easy the management and the interaction between tasks. A template convolution primitive has been implemented on 2D mesh topology.
