Pixel-scale feature restoration from microscanned image data

Paper Abstract

In this paper we demonstrate that if micro-scanning is used with image composition and digital restoration then this process can be used to accurately restore pixel-scale features that couldn't be accurately restored otherwise. The performance of this technique is analyzed by model-based simulations using a comprehensive digital image processing systems model that accounts for blurring, noise, sampling, image composition, restoration filtering and reconstruction.
