Quantum-inspired detection for spectral domain OCT (Conference Presentation)

Paper Abstract

We present a detection scheme which is widely used in quantum optics to study spectral correlations of photons. It uses a fibre spool to induce wavelength-dependent time delay and a fast single-photon detector for measuring these time delays and consequently, retrieving the light’s spectrum. This technique enables OCT imaging at very low-intensity levels and with increased sensitivity.
