Automated estimation of sizes of unruptured intracranial aneurysms in MRA images using localized principal component analysis

Paper Abstract

It is substantially difficult for radiologists to measure intracranial aneurysm sizes because of overlapping structures and/or unusual locations, especially for aneurysms smaller than 7 mm. Therefore, we have developed an automated approach for estimation of unruptured intracranial aneurysm sizes in MRA images. The errors of estimated aneurysm sizes in the longest, middle and shortest diameters were 2.53%, 10.79% and 12.62%, respectively.
