Electronic properties of ladderlike forms of conjugated polymers

Paper Abstract

Absorption spectra of ladder-like forms of polyacrylonitrile were investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometry, transmission and reflectivity measurements. The samples of polyacrylonitrile were deposited by spin coating technique on the quartz or silicon substrates and pyrolyzed at different temperatures from 225 degrees Celsius to 1000 degrees Celsius. The semiempirical quantum mechanics calculations were performed and the results were compared with experiment.
