Optical transitions in quantum wires with an axial magnetic field

Paper Abstract

An exact one-electron calculation of the subband energy levels of a cylindrical quantum wire with an axialmagnetic field is outlined. Oscillator strengths are obtained for optical transitions between the ground state and first twoexcited states as a function of the applied magnetic field.
