Paper Abstract
As the demand for high-throughput and low-latency communication increases, traditional packet switches with receive-and-forward mode of relaying will have increasing difficulties in meeting users' high traffic volume and high quality-of-service expectation. In this paper we propose a novel packet switch that uses selective switching as its relaying mode, and describe a new optoelectronic LEADER device that supports such an implementation.
