Paper Abstract
This paper is a statement about my virtual reality environment project, One’s Colonies, and a description of the creative
process of the project. I was inspired by the buildings in my hometown-Taiwan, which is really different from the
architectural style in the United States. By analyzing the unique style of dwellings in Taiwan, I want to demonstrate how the difference between geography, weather and culture change the appearance of the living space. Through this project I want to express the relationship between architectural style and cultural difference, and how the emotional condition or characteristics of the residents are affected by their residencies.
