Polarization-controlled transverse-spatial-patterns formation in dye laser

Paper Abstract

Transverse spatial pattern formation in a dye laser has been investigated by means of Maxwell-Bloch equations, which includes diffraction in the transverse plane, polarized pumping, absorption saturation, and finite rate of the radiationless energy transfer. It has been shown that changing of pumping polarization plane leads to changing of vortex or target pattern frequency rotation and spatial transverse distribution for amplitude and phase.
