Paper Abstract
A technique for simultaneous independent measurement of temperature and magnetic field is demonstrated using a low finesse Fabry-Perot interferometer probe. The probe is completely passive and is linked by optical fibers allowing remote operation. Absolute temperature measurement is demonstrated using a two wavelength technique. Unlike all previously reported techniques, the temperature is measured over the same optical path as that experiencing the magnetic field.
