At SPIE 2020 conference, we presented a blue diode laser that provides 200W output from a 200μm core diameter 0.22 NA fiber. To meet the high processing speed and efficiency demand of industrial applications, especially in the high volume market of e-mobility, a blue laser with higher power and higher brightness is needed. Based on an efficient fiber combining technology, BWT has successfully developed a 1000W blue diode laser with 200μm core diameter 0.22 NA fiber. This 1000W blue laser is achieved by combining 7 pcs 150W modules, which have 105μm core diameter 0.22 NA fiber (NA 0.15/0.22 power ratio >95%). The 1000W high brightness blue laser is an ideal choice for non-ferrous metals processing, especially copper welding and copper 3D printing.
