High-speed camera system

Photron, Inc., has launched the Fastcam SA7 high-speed camera system, which utilizes a unique 1280 by 1024 pixel advanced CMOS imaging sensor. The system provides frame rates of up to 3,500 frames per second (fps) at full image resolution, outstanding image quality with 12-bit ADC and high light sensitivity (5,000 ISO monochrome, 2,500 color ISO measured to ISO standard 12232 Ssat specification).

The Fastcam SA7 has been designed to satisfy the requirements of a wide variety of high-speed imaging applications including automotive safety testing. This high-speed camera system provides high performance imaging capabilities in a small and convenient-to-operate package.

The camera is equipped with a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet network interface allowing operation and control through industry-standard Photron Fastcam Viewer (PFV) software.
