Ultrafast fiber lasers


TOPTICA introduces the FemtoFiber smart family, a new series of ultrafast fiber lasers. These robust all-fiber lasers offer a compact footprint uniting optics and electronics in one box ─ making them the perfect choice for flexible OEM integration.

The new FemtoFiber smart family lasers extend the successful concept of the FemtoFiber pro into industrial ultrafast applications. Based on polarization-maintaining fibers and Saturable Absorber Modelocking (SAM) technology,
TOPTICA's FemtoFiber lasers offer reliable performance and hands-off operation. They are optimized to meet the small footprint (122x202x69 mm3) and low pricing requirements of OEM integrators. Incorporating all optics and control electronics in a single box, the smart family FemtoFiber lasers represent the most compact, ultrafast lasers available in today's market. All models with wavelengths above 1000 nm have fiber-coupled outputs and offer either FC/APC receptacles or fiber pigtails.

The FemtoFiber pro family models provide excellent laser sources for a variety of applications. For example, the FemtoFErb 1560 (with pulses below 100 fs) easily lends itself to THz generation with InGaAs antennae. The frequency-doubled version, the FemtoFErb 780, is a perfect match for non-linear microscopy or micro-lithography. For seeding high power ps/fs-amplifiers, the Ytterbium-based PicoFYb/FemtoFYb lasers (operating at 1030nm) are reliable seed lasers.
