SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing 29 April - 3 May 2013
Baltimore Convention Center
Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Invitation

We invite you to submit your abstract to SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing (DSS) 2013-the industry's leading meeting for scientists, researchers and engineers from industry, military, government agencies, and academia throughout the world.

We are excited about the new opportunities created by the fresh new location in the Baltimore Inner Harbor, close to the center of many United States Federal Government offices/agencies and many of the largest defense/security contractors and aerospace companies in America. We also expect more government acquisition, policy, and program executive representatives than ever before at next year's conference to be held on 29 April-3 May 2013. The feedback from our inaugural Baltimore event (DSS 2012) was overwhelmingly positive and we plan to build on this success and grow our SPIE 2013 Symposium in participation, technical areas, and enthusiasm. We encourage you to submit your abstracts early so we can vet with our planning committee and discuss with government officials. The abstract due date is 22 October, but the sooner they are submitted, the sooner we can start our processes.

Next year's DSS SPIE Symposium will also highlight three new technical conferences:

•        Emerging Theory, Analysis, and Design for Optical Space Communications
•        Flexible Electronics
•        Next-Generation Analyst

We have all ready started our planning, captured lessons learned, incorporated helpful suggestions and have significantly increased our outreach program. We are clearly on our way to a bigger and better event in calendar year 2013. Thank you again for your past participation and we look forward to an even closer and stronger partnership with you during the 2013 Defense, Security, and Sensing Symposium in Baltimore, Maryland.  We look forward to seeing you there!
