SPIE/COS Photonics Asia 2016 is being held at the:

Having opened in 1990, the convention center has served almost 1,000 different international and domestic conventions, exhibitions and meetings each year since its conception. The BICC is located in Asian Games Village, a flourishing area of Beijing which has a collection of conference center, businesses, shopping centers and entertainment venues. Located on the North Fourth Ring road, 20 kilometers from the International Capital airport and 9 kilometers from the city center. Very close to the Olympic Games central area, such as the Bird’s Nest.
Beijing is a wonderful city to visit with places of historical and cultural interest including the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and just 40 miles away the Great Wall of China.

Opening Ceremony and Plenary Session
Photonics Asia 2016 will begin with an Opening Ceremony and an exciting plenary session featuring presentations by some of the world's most prominent business leaders, top executives, scientists, and engineers on the cutting-edge of photonics technologies.
Paid registration includes access to all sessions, lunches, networking events, the interactive poster session, and conference Proceedings of your choice. All authors (including invited or solicited speakers), program committee members, and session chairs are responsible for registering and paying the reduced author/session chair/program committee registration fee. SPIE Members receive $60 off conference registration fees (Student Members save $20).
The official language of the conference presentations is English.
Abstracts must be submitted through SPIE Web (see Submit an Abstract for submission information). Submission of an abstract implies the intent of at least one author to register, attend the symposium, present the paper (either orally or in poster format), and submit a full-length manuscript for publication in the conference proceedings.
Manuscripts will be reviewed by the technical subcommittee co-chairs and selected experts. Conference proceedings will be published in English and available after the symposium. SPIE Proceedings are indexed in Astrophysical Data System (ADS), Chemical Abstracts (relevant content), EI Compendex, CrossRef, Current Contents, DeepDyve, Google Scholar, Inspec, Portico, Scopus, SPIN, and Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation Index.

The comprehensive Advance Technical Program for this symposium will list conferences, paper titles, and authors in order of presentation, and an outline of all planned special events. It will be available as a PDF for download on the event homepage.
Speaker Check-In and Preview
All conference rooms have a computer workstation, projector, screen, lapel microphone, and laser pointer. All presenters are requested
to test their presentations in the conference room where they will be presenting before, after, or during breaks in the conference schedule.
Poster Setup Instructions
Poster authors can set up presentations between 10:00 and 12:00 on the day of the Poster Session. Posters that are not set up by 12.00 on the day of the Poster Session will be considered a No-Show and will not be published in the Conference Proceedings.
