Industry Day will highlight adaptive optics, wavefront sensing at NASA Goddard

Industry Day at the Goddard facility in Greenbelt MD will be held on Thursday, 3 November 2011. This free event is geared toward showcasing several optical hardware and software technologies available for license. In addition it will also highlight the opportunities for partnership and collaboration with Goddard via Space Act Agreements.

Potential market applications that these technologies address include advanced cameras, astronomy, laser communications, metrology, and ocular imaging.

Industry Day is designed for the benefit of industry to help produce more advanced and competitive products. Industry Day will feature a presentation, with audience Q&A, by its leading experts in adaptive optics and wavefront sensing -- Richard Lyon and Dr. Bruce Dean.  There will also be a panel discussion in which audience members can query the experts about applications in free-space optics, ophthalmology, optometry, microscopy, consumer cameras and directed energy devices, among others.
