Several SPIE Members are among those being honored by U.S. President Barack Obama with the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers this year.
The Presidential early career awards embody the high priority the Obama Administration places on producing outstanding scientists and engineers to advance the Nation's goals, tackle grand challenges, and contribute to the American economy, the White House announcement said.
SPIE Members honored dat the recent White House ceremony include:
Ozcan, Yang, and Escuti are authors of papers to be presented at the upcoming SPIE Photonics West in January, and Ozcan and his team will present at SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing in April. Liu recently authored a paper at SPIE Optics + Photonics.
