Video: Colleen Fitzpatrick on using optics in forensic genealogy

Colleen Fitzpatrick is a recognized expert in optical laser measurement techniques. She specializes in forensic genealogy in international searches for individuals to serve as family references for DNA testing, for legal purposes, or as owners of unclaimed property.

A key member of the AFDIL team on the identification of a frozen arm and hand found in the wreckage of Northwest Flight 4422 that crashed in Alaska in 1948, Fitzpatrick has also developed innovative technologies for NASA, the U.S. National Science Foundation, and the Department of Defense.

In this video, Fitzpatrick discusses her company, IdentiFinders International, the use of optics in forensic geneology, and the keys to successfully running your own business. She is a Fellow of SPIE. She was interviewed at SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing 2011.
