Robert W. Boyd was appointed last week as the inaugural Canada Excellence Research Chair in Quantum Nonlinear Optics. He is one of 19 researchers appointed at 13 universities across Canada as part of the Canada Excellence Research Chair program.
Created in 2008, the program is designed to draw accomplished scientists to Canada and develop ambitious research programs that fit with the federal government's science and technology strategy.
