CREOL's LaserFest will bring the celebration of lasers to the southeast region with a combination of outreach, knowledge sharing, and networking at Optics Day and the SPIE Symposium.
April 2 is Optics Day, an outreach effort by the CREOL Association for Optics Students (CAOS) to increase awareness of optics to local and regional communities through interactive demonstrations, lab tours, and seminars.
Senior undergraduates and graduate students in an optics-related fields may participate in the SPIE Symposium April 3, including the opportunity to discuss the future of lasers with distinguished professionals in the field, benefit from professional development seminars, present their research, and network with fellow students.
The event is a collaborative effort among CAOS, the Univ. of Central Florida SPIE Student Chapter, and the Univ. of North Carolina, Charlotte, SPIE Student Chapter.
