By creating diamond-based nanowire devices, a team at Harvard Univ. led by SPIE Member Marko Loncar has taken another step towards making applications based on quantum science and technology possible.
Loncar is assistant professor of electrical engineering at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He has served on several program committees for SPIE conferences, and has published 30 papers with SPIE. He is scheduled to present on "Single photon source based on color center in diamond nanowire" at SPIE Optical Data Storage in May.
