Fibers for lasers and gyroscopes at Photonics West


IXFiber develops and produces specialty fibers and components based on fiber Bragg grating technology. The company will be presenting its newest products in these categories at Photonics West 2010 in San Francisco from January 26 to 28, booth 1723.

The company offers several options for fibers: active or passive double-clad fiber, doped fibers (Er, Tm, Nd), co-doped fibers (Er/Yb, Tm/Ho, Yb/Tm), as well as polarization-maintaining fibers. FBG mirrors are available from 800 nm up to 2.1 µm, and sub-assemblies include fiber, combiners and mirrors.

For Photonics West, iXFiber will present new products:

  • For 2 µm fiber lasers: Tm-doped double-clad fiber and matching passive double-clad fiber, and 2 µm FBG mirrors.
  • For FOG (Fiber Optical Gyroscope): reduced cladding diameter PM fiber (up to 40 µm) and PANDA type.
