SPIE eBooks brings SPIE Press titles to the same SPIE Digital Library platform as SPIE Proceedings and SPIE Journals. The beta version is now available.

Features of SPIE eBooks include:

  • 15-20 new SPIE Press books and editions published first as SPIE eBooks each year
  • Unlimited sitewide simultaneous use of the books
  • No digital rights management
  • MARC records available from SPIE (free) and OCLC

Two options for institutional acquisition of SPIE eBooks collections

Option 1:

  • Annual subscription: $975 for single-site institutions, with fee fixed at $975 for renewals in 2011 and 2012
  • Post-cancellation perpetual access via DVD of PDF files and Portico for content published during subscription term

Option 2:

  • One time Purchase: 2010 price of $9,875 for full 1989-2010 collection
  • Post-cancellation perpetual access to purchased content on SPIE Digital Library platform for modest annual platform fee. DVD of PDF files and/or Portico access also available
