Aims and Scope
The Journal of Photonics for Energy (JPE) covers fundamental and applied research areas focused on the applications of photonics for energy harvesting, conversion, storage, distribution, monitoring, consumption, and efficient usage.
Areas of special interest in this journal include, but are not limited to: novel photonic materials and innovative concepts for renewable energy (e.g., light management, plasmonics); photonic devices for efficient harvesting, conversion, and storage of solar energy (e.g., photovoltaics); solar thermal and concentrator technology (e.g., thermoelectrics, mirrors, optics); energy-efficient photonic devices (e.g., solid state lighting, flat panel displays); and photonic technologies for monitoring energy usage and/or exhaust gases in places such as power plants and buildings (e.g., photonic sensors).
