SPIE Education Fund

The SPIE Board designated Education Fund gives over $440,000 annually in student scholarships and Education Outreach Grants. The $12 million fund supports these programs exclusively with a goal of generating enough earnings to support our annual distributions.

 SPIE Scholarships
SPIE awarded $351,000 in scholarships to students in 2011.  

 Education Outreach Grants
As part of its education and outreach mission, SPIE annually provides over $90,000 in support to its Members for photonics-related education and outreach projects.
