The hotel reservation process for Optics + Photonics 2012 is tentatively scheduled to open April 2012. SPIE will arrange special discounted hotel rates for SPIE attendees that will be available when housing opens.

Visa Information
Because of the number of visa applications and the need for thorough security reviews, the visa application process can take several months. It is strongly encouraged for travelers to apply for their visas as early as possible (at least 3 to 4 months before the visa is needed).

Student Travel Contingency Grants
A limited number of SPIE contingency student travel grants will be awarded based on need. Applications must be received no later than 10 weeks prior to the meeting. Eligible applicants must present an accepted paper at this meeting. Offer applies to undergraduate/graduate students who are enrolled full-time and have not yet received their PhD.
