The Earth is a complex, dynamic system and our collective understanding needs to be improved. Global changes resulting from natural factors and human activities are modifying our living environment and the planet as a whole. The relationship between human activities and the Earth’s systems and environment are substantial, cumulative, and accelerating.
The 9th Asia-Pacific Remote Sensing Symposium in Beijing, China will focus on “Remote Sensing for Earth System Science and Environmental Health Monitoring.” The scope of the symposium encompasses (1) Earth system science in energy, water, and biochemical cycles, (2) global change mapping, (3) prevention and mitigation of disaster, and (4) management of natural resources.
With this in mind, these conferences focus on state-of-the-art active and passive remote sensing technologies and applications to monitor the atmosphere, water, and land. The symposium will bring together policy makers, scientists, and engineers from the international community to discuss the development of remote sensing technologies, data processing techniques, applications of remote sensing data, and the societal benefits of global environmental health monitoring.
We invite you to submit your abstract to the 9th SPIE Asia-Pacific Remote Sensing Symposium and join us in Beijing, China this coming October.
