In 2005, the SPIE Board of Directors charged a Task Force to review the Society's Regional Chapter Program. The Task Force completed their work and the Board accepted their recommendation that the Regional Chapter model be replaced with a new SPIE Outreach Program.
Existing Regional Chapters started to transition to the new program on 31 December 2007. Beginning in January 2008, SPIE will continue to sponsor activities but will do so directly with the organizer(s) or organizing bodies, instead of through Regional Chapters.
The Regional Chapters listed here have not yet completed the transition process and will continue to be listed here until they establish their own regional organizations, at which time these links will be updated.
