Site Licensing of SPIE Products

Individual Users

SPIE's multimedia courses are available at individual or site license prices. The individual price allows for individual sharing of the course, but not duplication of the tapes, CDs, DVDs or course notes.

Site License

Purchase at the site license level allows for duplication of the DVDs, videos, and CD-ROMs and the accompanying course materials for use at a single corporate site, or for making a CD available on a local area network.

Multi-Site License

SPIE also offers its DVDs, CD-ROMs, and videos at a multi-site license level that allows for replication and use at multiple sites belonging to the same corporation, or for installation of a CD on a single corporation's wide area network.

A "Green Lab" program supported by SPIE at the Pennsylvania State Univ. Electro-Optics Center gives high-school students lab experience in analyzing power consumption incandescent, compact fluorescent, and LED lighting sources.

"The lab inspires students to think about the environment and the economy," said Jim Einsporn of the Penn State project. "Students discover first-hand the amount of energy used in each source, and the long-term costs of each."
