    Booking a hotel room is easy; the area around Stoneleigh Park has many hotels. The exhibition organisers have arranged for Event Express, a booking agency, to make the reservations for you.

    Photonex takes place at Stoneleigh Exhibition Centre. Stoneleigh is easy to reach and is only 16 miles from Birmingham International Airport. Probably best known for hosting the Royal Show, Stoneleigh Park is situated on the B4113 Stoneleigh Road between Coventry and Leamington Spa.

    Birmingham International Airport (BHX)
    More than 25 international airlines provide scheduled flights from the UK, Europe and North America. The airport is approx. 20 minutes by train to Coventry. See below for train information.

    Coventry Airport (CVT)
    This is the nearest airport, exclusively offering Thomsonfly low-cost flights. It serves Amsterdam, Paris, Salzburg, Grenoble, Pisa, Barcelona, Faro, and Valencia.

    By Rail
    Rail access to Coventry is easy and convenient. Travel times from some major UK cities:
    London - 75 minutes
    Birmingham - 20 minutes
    Manchester - 2 hrs
    Reading - 75 minutes

    Taxi Service
    For local Taxi services, call either Brookline Taxis on 01926 513820 or Abbey Cars on 01926 865999. The journey to the venue from Coventry Airport will cost approximately £22 and from Birmingham Airport is approximately £34.

    Wireless Internet Access is available for purchase at £5.00/hour or £60.00/12 hours. When onsite, please start up your browser and book the time online.

    Luggage/Package Storage and Coat Check
    Luggage/package and coat storage will be available to attendees in the main exhibit hall foyer. Please note hours of operation posted onsite. If you intend to stay later than closing time, you will need to claim your checked items before it closes.

    Food and Beverage Services

    Coffee Breaks
    Complimentary coffee will be served at 10.30 and 14.45 on Tuesday. Please check individual technical conference listings for exact times and locations.

    Refreshment Purchases
    A cash sandwich bar will be available in the foyer of the exhibition hall, Hall 2, Stoneleigh Park on 17 and 18 October during exhibit hours.

    Refund Policy
    There is a $35 service charge for processing refunds. A letter requesting the refund should state the preregistrant's name and to whom the check should be made payable. Membership dues are not refundable. SPIE Digital Library subscriptions are not refundable.

    Audio, Video, Digital Recording Policy
    In the Meeting Rooms and Poster Sessions: For copyright reasons, recordings of any kind are strictly prohibited without prior written consent of the presenter in any conference session, short course or of posters presented. Each presenter being taped must file a signed written consent form. Individuals not complying with this policy will be asked to leave a given session and asked to surrender their film or recording media. Consent forms are available at the SPIE Audiovisual Desk.

    Visa and Invitation Letters
    Attendees holding a European passport do not require a visa to visit the UK. For all other countries, visit The UK Home Offices Border and Immigration website to determine whether you require a visa.
