About the Instructor
Akhlesh Lakhtakia is the Charles Grover Binder (Endowed) professor of engineering science and mechanics at the Pennsylvania State University. He earned BTech and DSc degrees in electronics engineering from Banaras Hindu University in 1979 and 2007, respectively, and MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Utah in 1981 and 1983, respectively. A Fellow of SPIE and OSA, he is currently the editor-in-chief of SPIE's online Journal of Nanophotonics. He has published widely on many topics in optics and electromagnetics, elastodynamics, materials sciences, and nanotechnologies.
