Student Sponsorship Opportunities

Your donation to SPIE Student Services is an investment in the future of the Optics and Photonics industry. Since its inception in 1955, the Society has helped industry meet their goals of building student connections and promotion by connecting qualified students with employers. In 2011, nearly $330,000 in student scholarships and assistance will be awarded.

Through your financial contribution to SPIE, you enable the Society to continue to support education and professional development for students with the exceptional programming. Whether you want to make personal connections with students and young professionals for recruitment and visibility or prefer a more hands-off approach, each sponsorship is tailored to your needs. Publicity and recognition for your support come through our conference programs, social media properties, publications, and on-site recognition. To discuss these options, please contact Dirk Fabian, SPIE Student Services Lead, dirkf@spie.org.

Sponsorship Yields Success - Your Support Matters

At 'Student Lunch with the Experts' I even landed an internship at IBM - it was an amazing experience, possible only through the human connections facilitated by SPIE."
- Dan Ceperley, founder of the Univ. of California, Berkeley Photobears Student Chapter and SPIE Scholarship winner

"SPIE offered me the chance to develop my leadership skills as a student, and to continue to network and develop my interest in photonics as a new faculty member and Student Chapter Advisor."
