Submit an abstract

• Check the Author and Presenter Due Dates 
• Read the Conference Call for Papers
• Before you submit, read the Abstract Submission Guidelines linked within each Call for Papers
• Then click "Submit an Abstract" to submit your abstract through the MySPIE database

Prepare and submit your manuscript

• Learn about SPIE Guidelines for Professional Conduct and Publishing Ethics
• Learn about SPIE Manuscript Policies
• Check manuscript due dates and editor contacts
• See manuscript specifications and templates
• Submit your manuscript
• Submit your copyright form

Prepare to present at the conference

Official notifications are sent via email to the contact author of accepted presentations. If accepted:

• Begin the visa application process immediately if you need a travel visa
• Request an invitation letter if needed for your visa application or for funding purposes
• Apply for an SPIE Contingency Student Travel Grant if you are a full-time student in need of partial travel support (see eligibility requirements)
• Prepare your presentation:
  • Review Oral Presentation Guidelines
  • Review Poster Presentation Guidelines
• Register for the conference
• Review the program to confirm your presentation date and time (available October 2008).
