The San Diego Zoo is back in 2014, and is always a highlight!
The 2013 San Diego Zoo Animal Ambassador'Monty', a 35-year old python, helped the staff from the Zoo's Centre for Bioinspriation demonstrate the application of thermal sensors and mechanical propulsion systems. This is part of an ongoing collaboration between SPIE and the San Diego Zoo to promote bioinspired engineering design.
