Mail Dates and Claim Policy

SPIE maintains a Journal Mail Dates and Claim Policy page. Subscription agents and subscribers should be familiar with this information and follow the directions in placing claims. Print volumes of the SPIE journals are mailed out after the online issue is closed to publication. The cover date of the issue reflects the period during which the papers in that issue appear online, rather than the date of print distribution. For example, a January issue contains papers published online during January, and the issue is printed and mailed in mid-February. Claims must be placed within four months of the mail date. To make a claim on a subscription, complete the Claim Form and return it to customerservice@spie.org.

Obtaining COUNTER Statistics

An institutional subscriber to SPIE journals may access the COUNTER statistics for those journal subscriptions on the institutional administrative dashboard SiteMaster. Directions for using SiteMaster are in the SPIE FAQ for SiteMaster.

How can I view my institution's usage statistics?

Sign in to SiteMaster and click on the COUNTER Reports tab. Make sure to select a date range and click on “Update Date Range” tab. Then click on “Download XLSX” to the right of the report you are interested in. Please note that COUNTER reports' default dates are January through December of the current year.

If you have a problem using SiteMaster, please contact SPIEDLSupport@spie.org for assistance.

Other institutional subscription options

Full SPIE Digital Library subscriptions consist of over 450,000 technical papers and articles including all of the SPIE Journals and conference proceedings, with an option to purchase SPIE eBooks.  Learn more about SPIE Digital Library institutional subscriptions by visiting the Institutional Subscriptions Information site Links to external site.
