Summary
I am working as an Optical Engineer in Applied Optics Area, at Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS) a unit of Indian Space Research Organization. Applied Optics Area of LEOS is responsible for the manufacturing of the Optical payloads for ISRO remote sensing Programmes. I would like to express my interest in applying for the position of Optical Engineer” in your company. I hold a Master’s degree in Engineering Physics (specialising in Photonics) from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India and also a Bachelors degree in Physics from Kakatiya University, Warangal, India.
Over the last five years in ISRO, I have been working on the Fabrication & testing of the Space qualified telescope Optical payloads (both Reflective & Refractive). I am involved building up of the test set up for the different fabricated components for testing optical parameters such as curvature measurements, surface figure measurements during the fabrication. Test set ups for Aspherical Mirror during fabrication such as null optics test configuration for concave hyperbolic, parabolic mirror & hindle sphere test set up for convex hyperbolic mirrors and test set up for off-axis optics components. Responsible of setting up of integrated global test bench for testing of the telescope system level performance for the required performance parameter (LSF, PSF, MTF& EFL) which involves best alignment of the telescope components with a team of 4-5 members. I have hands-on experience of handling different testing equipments such as Zygo Interferometer, Minifiz Interferometer and theodolite for optical system alignments. And also good experience in optical fabrication of both spherical and aspherical optics using Robot Polishing machine, Asymmetric Computer control polishing machines (POL-130, POL-150 of Sagem make). I have good knowledge of the Optical design software CODE V, for the testing the Aspherical Optics, null lens design & Hindle Sphere design.
