Development of narrow linewidth kilowatt class fiber lasers and amplifiers at 1µm and 2µm.
Lead scientist on custom-built amplifiers and lasers, government projects and Independent Research and Development. (IR&D).Manager for senior technologist and senior technician.
Experienced troubleshooter and problem solver on difficult projects.

Developed the first diode pumped alkali laser (DPAL) and Cesium vapor laser, with 81% slope efficiency and 65% optical-optical efficiency. High-precision lifetime measurements of the cesium 6P3/2 state using ultrafast laser pulse excitation and ionization.

Development of dual wavelength 1030nm & 1064nm 1.2 kW narrow linewidth Yt-doped fiber amplifier.

Spectral beam Combining of two 1.2-kW 1µm fiber amplifiers with air cooled volume Bragg grating, achieved output power of 2-kW with M2 < 1.16 of combined beam.

Development and delivery of three 700-Watt 1µm narrow linewidth polarization maintaining (PM) Ytterbium doped fiber amplifiers to major European defense manufacturer.

Development and delivery of three 1-kW 1µm narrow linewidth Ytterbium-doped fiber amplifiers with polarization control.

First demonstration of High Power 2130nm Holmium doped all glass fiber MOPA pumped by Thulium-doped fiber MOPA’s for US. Government program (JTO-HEL)

Development and delivery of 300-Watt 1101nm narrow linewidth PM Ytterbium-doped fiber amplifier to major U.S. Aero-space and defense manufacturer.

Development and delivery of six 1-kW 1µm narrow linewidth PM fiber amplifiers

Demonstration of 150-Watt 1.5µm Erbium-Ytterbium free-space coupled MOPA.

Development and delivery of 300-Watt all-glass 2µm Thulium-doped fiber MOPA.

First demonstration of 1-kW all-glass 2µm Thulium-doped fiber MOPA as subcontractor for U.S. Government program. (JTO-HEL)

Development and delivery of 20-Watt all-glass Thulium-doped single-frequency amplifier for major U.S. defense contractor.
