Profile
Summary
I am a staff scientist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. I am the Deputy Lead for the adjustable X-ray optics program, which advances optical technology in support of the Lynx (X-ray Surveyor) mission concept study. I am also a Co-Investigator for the Arcus mission proposal, leading the design and optimization of the optical system along with key involvement in ongoing technology demonstration efforts.

My personal research interests include computational optimization of X-ray telescopes and spectrometers. This includes the creation of highly parallel raytracing codes and the use of modern optimization algorithms in optical design work. I am also interested in the rigorous treatment of X-ray scattering and diffraction.
