Profile
Summary
Moez Haque received an Hon. B.Sc. degree (2008) in Applied Physics at the University of Toronto. He then earned a M.A.Sc. degree (2011) at the University of Toronto studying ultrafast laser processing of transparent materials and photoresists to fabricate photonic crystal optofluidic devices for electrochromatography and spectroscopy on a chip. Finally, he earned a Ph.D. degree (2014) at the University of Toronto developing optofluidic lab-in-fiber systems by femtosecond laser writing and selective chemical etching, integrating fiber taps, optical circuits, micro-optics, microfluidic holes and reservoirs, and open optical resonators. He is now a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Peter R. Herman’s laboratory developing novel lab-in-fiber sensors and ultrafast laser processes for industry partnerships.
