University of Edinburgh June 2015 – Present
CEO at Biotspetch ltd
Project: Real Time monitoring in Confocal Spectroscopy. The project involves the research and commercialisation setting up a private enterprise as Founder and CEO of the entity. The project is engaging academics with top universities in UK and big global enterprise partners for the design, manufacture and commercialisation of a novel optoelectronic product to analyse diseases looking up cell culture. A patent will secure the success of the business. On-going process: I am applying grants such as Innovate UK 2015, Data Lab, EPSRC, etc. And also I am designing opto-electronic components for manufacturing and testing using optical interferometry and CMOS/ CCD sensor, spectroscopy.
I am contributing to the Photonics IEEE journals chapters as reviewer and EPSRC committee: consultancy.
Applied Tools: Strategic project management, product commercialisation, optical design (Optical raytracing: Zemax, TracePro, etc, FDTD: Lumerical), Micromachining for optical manufacturing and optoelectronics packaging tolerances for the optical sensor: part of the optoelectronic system.
