I received my Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Manipal University, India in 2008. I was a visiting undergraduate research fellow at the department of Biosciences and Bioengineering and the department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 2005-2007, on a fellowship from Government of India. My research interests during this period spanned Biomedical Optics, Nonlinear optics and Signal Processing. I completed undergraduate thesis in Switzerland at the Corporate Research and Technology division, Hilti AG, developing signal processing based algorithms for mechatronic systems. Thereafter, I joined the ECE department at University of Rochester as a PhD student in 2008. Presently, my interests lie in the areas of Molecular and Nonlinear Imaging using Ultrasound, Coronary imaging with Intravascular Ultrasound, Characterization of Tissue Elasticity and Biomedical Optics.
