Dr. Andrey Knyazik

Andrey Knyazik has always been interested in Science and Technology. I pursued physics in both my undergraduate and graduate studies because I wanted to learn and contribute to pure science. I have been successful in doing so by forming an experiment results of which served as the basis for a Nature Physics article, and also my Ph.D. thesis. After academia I decided to challenge myself in other ways. I entered industry and am now happily employed as a Technical Sales Engineer at Newport Corporation. I truly enjoy what I do because it lets me communicate with people that are also fascinated with Science and Technology but whose backgrounds are vastly diverse including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, and Industrial Applications. I enjoy the fact that I have no idea what people I will talk to today, and have to understand their application, and suggest the best solution for them that we can offer. I have been a student throughout most of my life, and now I get to use what I have learned while continuing to learn something new every day. I hope to be challenged with new ideas in the future.
